Join me for a New Year and a New Heart

Hey friends!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas celebration!

I enjoyed lots of time with my family and not a lot of time with my computer. :)

In just a few short days, we will begin a new year! I don’t know about you, but I get SO EXCITED about a fresh new year! It is filled with so much hope and so many possibilities.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to focus on most in 2015. I want to live a healthier lifestyle. I want to work on growing my blog. I want to get some projects finished around the house.

BUT MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, I want to spend more time in God’s word. I want a “newness” in my heart.

I talked to my sister about it a few weeks ago, and I asked her if she wanted to join me in offering a bible study to our readers. I thought it would be awesome to create a private facebook group of all of us who are doing the bible study together to encourage and pray for each other.

We decided we would ask you to join us on the Focused15 Challenge?

Beginning January 1 we’ll start a Bible Study called Wild Obedience (you purchase it online for $3.99) by Katie Orr.

Katie is a pastor’s wife and friend of Cyndi and mine. She is passionate about sharing God’s word and helping women dig into scripture and grow in their relationship with Christ.

The study is 15 days and can be completed in 15 minutes. Which is perfect for a Focused15 challenge.

If you would like to join me, take this pledge:

pledge crop Pledge-to-spend-15-minutes-a-day-in-the-Bible

If this resonates with your heart, go here and sign the pledge and then if you don’t mind, leave a comment and let me know! (There’s not a 2015 date but go ahead and put January 1, 2014 and it will still work.)

Friends, this will be a wonderful opportunity for us all to enjoy a fresh new start with God in our hearts. I am so excited about this!! Nothing in this world is more important than our relationship with Jesus. When we get our lives right with God, we will be better moms, wives, sisters, and friends. That would be a great way to start 2015!

  1. I signed the pledge and got the book on my kindle. I am so thrilled, this is exactly what I need. So neat to see God’s plan unfold perfectly!

  2. This looks awesome, Traci! I have done Precepts Bible studies and I love the inductive method to study, but it is very time consuming! I’m going to sign up and share with my friends! Thank you!

  3. Looking forward to a more faith filled year. Time to slow down and listen to my heart, turn off the T.V. And “be still”.

  4. I’m so glad you shared this! It really resonated with me, and my BFF of 30+ years agreed we should do this together across the miles that separate us. Excited! (I’ve been loving your blog and your heart for quite some time now:)
