Happy Thanksgiving! I am officially a mom of FIVE!

Y’all!

It has been a whirl wind trip to Lativa and back with my son Luke this week!  We left on Monday afternoon, arrived in Latvia on Tuesday morning, spent two short days in Latvia, and then flew home today on Thanksgiving!  WHEW!

But yesterday, I had to go to court to get the final legal approval for Sania Louise to be our forever daughter.  It was a 3 hour court hearing and emotionally draining, but our adoption was approved, and I am now the proud mom of FIVE PRECIOUS CHILDREN!!

Can you believe it?!  It is been a crazy year and a half, full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t change a thing.  I know that God’s hand as been all over this adoption and that before the beginning of time, He chose Sania Louise to be my daughter.  He split the seas to bring our two worlds together.  How GREAT is our God!

I am actually sitting on the plane from Newark to Cincinnati, and we are getting ready to land, so I have to be quick, but I want to wish all of my sweet readers the most happiest of Thanksgivings.

I am not only grateful for the gift of my daughter, but I am so thankful that we have a God who cares about every detail of our lives.

I am thankful that we have a God who gives our lives purpose and meaning.  He is so very real and ever-present in our lives.

May He fill your heart with Peace and Gladness today as you reflect on all you have to be thankful for.

Love you, sweet friends!

xoxo

    1. Thank you, Claire! It’s been a long crazy road, but we are so very grateful for our daughter! We have one last trip to Latvia to get her Visa, but that will be in January. I love going to Latvia, so I am excited about that trip as well. :)

  2. I’ve followed your journey from the beginning and am so thrilled for all of you and for Sania Louise that it’s now official. Although you weren’t apart very long, I’m sure the first time you hugged her on arriving home must have been so sweet.

    1. Oh my goodness, Sue! I couldn’t stop hugging her when I got home. She kept asking, “I’m Sania Louise HUTCHERSON?” And I would say, “YEP! FOREVER!” :)
