I AM CLEAN
We have a rainy Sunday here in Kentucky, and I just got up from a great Sunday afternoon nap after church. Aren’t those the best?!
There is a song that I have been wanting to share with you all a while. I heard it on the radio one day in my car, and peace filled my heart while hearing it.
It’s called Clean by Natalie Grant. (I follow Natalie on Instagram and watch her instastories faithfully. She doesn’t know it yet, but we are best friends. ha! Isn’t it funny how following someone on social media can make you feel like best friends in real life? I swear if I bumped into Natalie one day, I would be like, “Hey girl!” followed by a big hug, and she would be like, “Um. Do I know you?” hee.hee.)
This song just touches my heart because I think at some point in every one of our lives, we feel unworthy of God’s love. For some of us, we struggle with it daily. We feel broken. Shattered. Maybe we feel like are sins are too dirty or too bad for God to ever forgive us? Maybe we feel too far gone.
But friends, we are NEVER too far gone to be found by the love of Christ. And we can NEVER do something so bad that His GRACE and FORGIVENESS cannot make us clean.
There is so much hurt in this world, and I have friends in my own life right now that are in very dark places. And I can see in their eyes that they feel like they are beyond reach. But they are not. God’s love can heal and restore even the most broken of lives. I’ve seen it in my life and in countless lives of others, and it is beautiful.
Our brokenness is why He gave His life for us on the cross. And just as God raised Christ from the dead, He can take what is dead in us and bring it to life again! HALLELUJAH!
May the words of this song soak deep into your heart and bring healing upon you. May you begin to celebrate and be filled with joy when you realize the amazing love that Jesus has for you!
Love you, friends!!
Wow! How beautiful, how perfect, how moving! Thank you Traci for sharing!
Thanks for the beautiful song to remind us we are washed CLEAN by HIM. Blessings to you for a great week ahead.
Thank you for sharing the hope of the gospel with us, and some day when I bump into you I am going to give you a big ole hug and you will pull back and say, “do I know you”????
Oh, what a beautiful song and I’m pretty much up on the latest songs but sure missed this one. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing that truth–I never tire of hearing about His free gift of salvation.
So thankful for HIS love and forgiveness. Xo
Beautiful, thank you for sharing, Traci!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful song and your inspiring words His grace and forgiveness are never ending. Amen!
Thank you Traci so much for reminding me of this. I so needed to hear that particular song at this very moment. That song is beautiful!! Traci , I am reaching out to you today to just ask all your prayer warriors and yourself to pray for unspoken situations in my and my faimlies lives. I know he is there and can fix it all if only they will let him. This is part of my prayers! Tears are welling up inside me right now, thanks for all of your prayers in advance. Thanks, more than you know my Christian friend!! Love you! Shawn in Md.
Hi Traci! Funny how God works! I sing with a group of 3 other ladies at church and guess which song we are singing in church Sunday? That’s right! CLEAN!! Sunday is The Lord’s Supper and I thought this song would be perfect. What a beautiful reminder that no matter how dirty we may see ourselves, God’s blood can make us clean if we just accept the mercy that He offers freely! God is so gracious!!! Thank you for bringing this song to so many others to enjoy.
Thank you for sharing this song. It’s one of my absolute favorite songs of all time and especially of Natalie Grant’s. This song just gives me a sense of “freshness”….I guess “clean” is the word I am looking for. God forgives and washes it all away. Thank you so much for the reminder.
And NG IS MY FAVORITE OF ALL TIME singers hands down!! Love her!
Traci – not sure why at the end of my comment it has my recent post. So sorry…….not sure why that happened!! Did not mean for it to.
Thank you, i needed this sooo much right now. I struggle with unworthy feelings about myself… have been working on this for some time…… IT goes away …. then reappears…Please keep my family and I in your prayers. Thank you so much again for sharing this…Natalie is one of my favorite singers…. and this is a vider I am planning to look at and listen to every day.
Thank you for sharing this amazing song about HIM.
Thank you for this rainy Saturday treat.
