My “#FASTer Way to Fat Loss” Results {and Easter Pics}

Happy Tuesday, y’all!

Did you have a good Easter weekend?

It was so much fun experience Sania’s first Easter with us!!  She loved everything about it!  The boys have just as much fun experience each day through her eyes as I do.  It is so stinkin’ cute.  They are so precious to her!

I have to share the outtakes with you too. :) Sania is screaming “Happy Easter!” in the pictures below!

It is still so crazy to me how much she looks like Eli’s twin. :). They have their birthday’s next month.  She and Eli both turn 10 two days apart.  Her birthday is May 11, and Eli’s May 13th.  We are VERY excited about celebrating her first birthday in America with our family!!

And her daddy,  oh. my. goodness.  This man adores this little girl.  I wish you could hear him sing her to sleep at night.  She absolutely loves it.  He just makes up songs with any old tune he wants, and he says things like “Sania is wonderful, Sania is beautiful, Sania is smart, Sania is special,”  over and over again until she falls asleep.  He tells me that he wants her to start believing every one of those things and to fall asleep knowing she is loved.  Yep.  He’s a keeper!

She loves to tease him relentlessly though, telling him she is “mommy’s girl, not daddy’s girl,” just to get a response from him.  And then she runs and gives him hugs and kisses and says she is daddy’s girl too.

She started riding the bus home yesterday, and she did great!  She went to school ALL DAY every day last week, and the teachers said she was wonderful.  Sometimes she doesn’t want to do her work and will complain, but she always ends up doing it.  I AM SO PROUD OF HER!!

You guys have NO IDEA how much I wish you could each meet her in person.  She is a total hoot and so fun and expressive.  Everyone loves talking to her because she always makes you smile.  If you don’t follow me on Instagram, please do.  I try to share little videos of Sania and the rest of my family/home projects in my instastories, and I would love for you to follow along.

You can find me at www.instagram.com/beneathmyheart, but the instastories can only be viewed on the app.

***************************

I also wanted to give you an update on my weight loss/wellness.

I just completed the 6 week #FASTerWayToFatLoss bootcamp, and I have signed up for my second round!  whoop!!

I LOVE this program, y’all!

First of all, and most importantly, I FEEL BETTER.  I can definitely tell I have lost some weight and toned up.  Am I where I want to be?  No.  But I am not where I was!!

On the FW2FL program, you workout at least 5 times a week, which is a minimum of 30 times during the bootcamp.  I only missed two of my workouts during my six weeks.  That means I worked out 28 times, y’all!!  Say wha?  That’s a miracle right there in itself!

And when I say workout, I mean I REALLY worked out.  My body does not know what is going on!

I am doing the elliptical and lifting weights.  I’m so sore sometimes that I can hardly walk.  But you know what?  It feels so good.

I don’t really know how to explain how I felt before the FW2FL, except that I felt like I was not in control of my body.  I felt old, sluggish, and like my health was getting worse.  I ran out of breath easily.  It was hard to tie my shoes.  And thoughts of when and what I could eat next controlled my day.

Now, for the first time in a long time, I feel more like myself, I have more energy, I feel in control, I feel stronger, and I feel my health getting better.

That is why I am going to continue doing the FW2FL bootcamp every six weeks until I reach my goal weight.  And even after that, I know I will continue implementing all that I have learned from this program in my daily routine.

I’ve tried so many programs (Medifast, Whole30, 21 Day Fix, Counting Calories, etc.,) but I truly have liked this one the best.  Finding time to exercise can be the hardest thing, but if you make the commitment, it is definitely worth it!  There is a learning curve with the “intermittent fasting” and “carb cycling,” but after the first week, it really starts to make sense.  And the good thing is that I could go to my Facebook group and ask questions whenever I needed to.

Now, I am going to share with you some embarrassing photos.  Not because I want to, but because I want you to know that if I can do this, ANYONE CAN!

This is hard to share, y’all.  Like really hard.  I have friends from high school, extended family,  church friends, and even former students, etc., who read my blog. #goodgravy!  I asked Cy first if it was okay for me to share this picture, and he said I could if I felt like I should.  And I do feel like I should.   Why?

I think it is because I always want to be real on my blog, and so many of you have said that you can totally relate to my struggles with my weight and my health, and I want you to start feeling better like I do.  I want you to get control of your health again.

Remember, this is just 6 weeks, so it is not a HUGE different, but it IS A DIFFERENCE.  It usually takes 6-8 weeks before others can start to notice that you are losing weight, so I am just getting started.

Here I go….can’t take it back now…#biggulps

I’m hoping you can see the same results that I do.  :)  For me, it’s a big difference.  In the “before” picture, I look like I felt….SWOLLEN.   In the after picture, you can actually see my spine now!  ha!  And my bootie is starting to take shape.

I’m super excited to see what I will look like in 6 more weeks!!  And I will share the pics with you in the same clothes.  (I may included a font and side view, but those are a little more embarrassing to show.  Showing my front side feels more vulnerable for some reason.)

So, you wanna join me?  #pleasesayyespleasesayyes

I can request that my readers get put in the same Facebook group as me, so we can encourage each other, and I will be there to answer any questions you may have.  It costs $199, and it has been worth every penny to me.  I got a “veteran” discount this time, and I paid $130 for the second bootcamp.

The next FASTerWayToFatLoss bootcamp starts on Monday, the 24th and registration ends this Saturday, so if you want to join me, be sure to sign up this week.  I know there are not a lot of spots left.

My sister will be doing it again too.  She is not doing it to lose weight, but to get tone, and she is loving the results she is getting!

Please leave me a comment or email me to let me know you signed up. :)

Thanks for letting me share this very personal journey with you.  Thank you for your encouragement!

  1. Wow! You are looking so good! Keep up the great work and thank you for keeping it real. I can’t join boot camp, but I can follow your journey which is very familiar. I’m feeling pretty swollen these days too. Here’s to our health!

  2. Wow!! Is there ever a difference :) Thank you for being brave enough to share, and while I am approaching my health and body goals in a different way, I feel like I’m doing it with you and will be brave and vulnerable when I need to be as well then 😊
ps. Sania is seriously ADORABLE lol

  3. Wow! I think that’s a big difference and in only 6 weeks!
I’d love to try the program, but wonder about the eating portion. How difficult is the eating plan to follow if you have a family to cook for?

    1. Thank you, Carrie!
It has not been very difficult. I have just tried to focus on preparing lean meats with healthy sides, and then I eat to stay within my “macros.” I had no idea what macros where when I started, but it really isn’t that hard. I have about 2000 calories I can eat each day, and I rarely met that number, but I always felt full! Some nights, like tonight, I fixed the kids fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, but since it was low carb day for me, I just ate the chicken plain and some veggies. Hope that helps!

  4. Brace woman! Thanks for sharing, Traci. I’m counting calories with the My Fitness Pal app and walking and doing yoga. I’ve lost 15 pounds so far. I leave for Tuscany in a week. I hope I don’t gain it all back!

  5. CONGRATULATIONS! I can definitely see a difference and in only six weeks, I think you’ve done super great!

  6. Awesome job! There is a big difference in the before and after. Thanks for being courageous and vulnerable to share your journey with us. I can’t wait to see your next photo in six weeks.

  7. I just started following your blog, as I have followed Cyndi’s for over a year now. I have really enjoyed it and love seeing the pictures of your family in this one. It was so sweet to hear about your husband singing to Sania. That is just so precious. I really appreciate you sharing your fitness photos. YES!!! You can tell a difference. You look more toned. Keep it up. :)

    1. Thank you, Kathy! I pray that Sania always remembers her daddy singing to her. :). God bless you! And thank you for following my blog! xoxo

  8. Tracy you look great ! So proud of you ! So did you kick the cola habit ? I stopped drinking cola for 40 days for Lent i feel I need to sacrifice during this time. It was hard and it taste gross now. Keep up the good work

  9. Wow. You look great. That’s a big difference in just 6 weeks. So encouraging. Really makes me want to try.

  10. Girl!!! Oh my YES I can see a difference. You look wonderful. How can we find out more about the program? Sounds like something I would like to learn more about. Perhaps the next group in 6 weeks.
    Way to go!!

  11. You look great!! Look at that cute little tushy. 😊 Good for you for making the commitment to get healthy!!

  12. Doing Paleo and watching caloric intake. Down 21 pounds since New Years Day. Not a ton of weight, but I need steroids to live! And anyone who’s been on steroids knows that it’s nearly impossible to lose weight while taking them. I can never ever go over 1,400 calories or I’m at a deal stand still. My son is getting married in June and I wanted to lose thirty, but I’ll settle for 25. I keep trying on my dress, and am so happy when it looks better and better. I would suggest a piece of clothing you want to get into too, it works for me! Keep trying it on! It’s so hard, but worth it! Keep up the good work!

  13. Awesome progress Traci! I signed up with you on the last round and agree that I like this program better than any other I’ve tried. I wasn’t even brave enough to take pictures before our last round, so I really applaud you for sharing yours! I can tell a difference in my clothes and it feels so good to be exercising again. I have also signed up for the next round and want to keep going. I guess this time I will need to take some before photos. :-) Thank you for sharing!

  14. First, because you have a lovely soul, we don’t care what you look like on the outside. Your strength in sharing and excitement to motivate others is ADORBS!!!! ;-) I turn 50 in December and I have been feeling it too!! Knees aching when I bend down to reach into the back of a cabinet. Out of breath walking upstairs. I know from juice fasting that sugar is inflammatory. I always feel AMAZING when I fast!! And what I need to do is cut out the caffeine and sugar!! (as I take another sip from my cup on the desk) I’ve very very slowly started exercising while the kids are at soccer practice. (Nice walking path around the field) I read on a blog a few months ago where this lady said when she started her exercise program a few years ago she would workout, then come home and eat junk and question herself, but she. kept. going. And soon the endorphins released from the exercise energized her to start making better food choices. Her honesty about the PROCESS was much like yours and it is INSPIRING!!! Yep, I’m sipping on my cup-a-junk but I’ve logged more miles in April than I did in March and gradually….gradually…. I’m hanging onto the process!!! You, my dear, are an inspiring part of the process!!! Thanks for sharing the beautiful before and the amazing after. Yeppers, you can be proud of that booty!!! Don’t forget, that before picture has a special story…. You sacrificed a LOT, time, money, stress and health for that special daughter. Now enjoy the rest of your journey!!!!! ((((hugs))))

  15. I can totally see a difference! Keep up the great work, you’re doing awesome! Thanks for the Easter/Sania update too! <3

  16. Traci, your kids are so adorable, boys may not like to be called adorable,it’s our secret. Your before and after Is a great improvement, smaller butt, the bra bulge is gone and your legs are thinner. Good job,I’m so excited for you.

  17. Traci, wow! You look amazing and what a great transformation. I could really tell that you are losing inches and toning. Keep up the excellent job. Thank you for showing the real photos and being a true inspiration to us all. So proud and happy for you.

  18. My birthday is May 11 and my sister’s is May 13! We’re 1 year apart. Love your blog. Especially enjoy reading all about Sania. And congratulations on the weight loss!

  19. Loved the Easter pictures….beautiful family.
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your journey to better health.

  20. I said it yesterday on FB, but I’ll say it again – you look great after 6 weeks, and yes, I can certainly see a difference. YOU are an inspiration!!!!!

  21. I’m interested in joining but I currently don’t have a gym membership and other than hand-weights, no exercise equipment at home. Is that a dealbreaker for the workouts or do they have home-friendly workouts?

    1. Hi Tina!
For the workouts, Amanda provides an “at home” version and a “gym” version. I do the gym version because I’m not disciplined enough to do mine at home. haha! But my sister has been doing the “at home” workout and loves it. So you could do either! Hope that helps! xoxo Let me know if you have any other questions.

  22. Traci, you look amazing…I can definitely see the difference! Thanks for sharing your journey…your honesty and sincerity shine through!
PS: Adore your IG stories with Sania!

  23. Wow, what a difference! I’m so proud of you and you look great. I need to lose 40 lbs or so myself but unfortunately the cost of the program is a factor for me. So, I’m just trying to do it on my own with watching what I eat, etc. Thank you for your honesty and putting yourself out there with the photos. It’s one thing to talk about a weight loss journey but then to actually share photos is another thing entirely. Speaking of photos, adorable pics of the family by they way. You have one amazing family.

  24. So strong and brave. Thank you for your honesty. I mean. NONE of us look like the photos hopped magazine covers but we all compare ourselves to them, right?! Why?! You are a beautiful and lovely woman :) I pray the Lord continues to give you the energy and endurance to carry out this plan and that you only feel better and better. I have no doubt you are going to be such a blessing to so many that need an extra motivator to get going. You are going to be that encouragement for them! You are so refreshingly honest and I applaud your courage! You are beautiful before and beautiful after!

And yes, everytime I see a picture of all the kids together I cannot get over how much Sania looks like one of your biological kids!

  25. I am reading this too late to start – #darnit, but your results are amazing, and I am inspired to do it! Btw, I just sent an email to let you know that for some reason, I am not receiving blog updates through the subscription button, despite several attempts :(
