Progress on the Guest House Bath!
Hey friends! I am writing to you from Nashville today. I got here yesterday, and Jonathan and I are headed to a meeting in about an hour with his management. And then tonight, he will be singing at the Blue Bird Cafe!! Have you heard of that place?
It is a super cool little place in Nashville that is quite famous. It’s where a lot of famous people have sung before, and I’ve heard that it has been featured on the hit tv show Nashville many times.
Anywhoo, I’m going to try and film some of it and take some pictures so I can share it with you later this week. :)
Before I left Kentucky, I took some pictures of our guest house bathroom to show you where we are with the process. It is almost completely dried in, and you can see it on the back of the guest house now.
We still have to paint it to match the guest house, but we have tied the shingles into the existing roof line.
There will be a transom window cut in the back, right below that open triangle (which has been closed in since I took this picture yesterday.)
Cy cut out the doorway on the inside this week. It’s on the same wall as our kitchenette.
It’s not a huge doorway, and we are thinking about doing some type of sliding antique door to cover it.
In this shot, you can see where Cy framed out the opening for the transom window.
Here is a shot looking out from the inside the bathroom. The part you see on the ceiling with the vent will be removed, and we will be leaving the ceilings vaulted.
I am so excited with all the progress. Cy said he was going to get some work done while I was down here in Nashville with Jonathan, so I can’t wait to see it when I get back! As you can tell, my man works FAST! haha!

We are going to be in Nashville November 2-4 and plan to visit the Bluebird Friday evening – will he be singing there during that time? I loved him on tv and would love to see and hear him in person!!
Is the deck gone that wrapped around? It didn’t look like it was still there in the outside shot. The bathroom is going to be great! Cy does wonderful work!

I have been to the Bluebird Cafe twice!! My roommate from college lives in Nashville and teaches at Vanderbilt. I have gone to visit her a few times and have gone to Bluebird. It certainly is a huge deal!!! I wish Jonathan the best of luck.

My dear friend has a son that is part of BRMC, they are wonderful musicians! Times have changed since we were young, and the music industry is much harder to navigate; which means that we need to be praying everyday for these young artists!

I just can’t get enough of Jonathan and his beautiful voice. So happy he is pursuing his music. Since I have been away did he graduate from high school? You are a super mom and dad to be with him.
