Brimstead Kitchen Remodel {Part One}

Y,ALL!!  I’m so excited to share with you a kitchen remodel that Cy and Adam recently finished with our family business, Hutcherson Home Remodel!

There will be several posts in this series, so be sure to follow along!  You will not believe the “after” photos of this kitchen!

But today, let’s start with the “before’s” and share with you some of the plans for the space.

As you can see, there is a large half wall that blocks the kitchen from the den area.  

There was some extra counter space and storage on the other side of the wall, but the homeowner wanted it removed to open up the space.

You can see that there was a small island in the middle of the kitchen, behind that large half wall. 

Since we would be removing counter and storage space in the half wall, we would replace the small island with a much larger one.

The home owner wanted new white shaker cabinets that would go all the way to the ceiling.

At first, the home owner wanted to leave the pantry the way it was, but I convinced her to tear it out so we could move the stove and fridge over to create more counter space.  Plus, we would be able to continue with custom cabinetry around the refrigerator to create more storage space.

Also, we would be adding new storage cabinets to the left of her current cabinets, where she had a piece of furniture.  This would make the kitchen look bigger and give her even more storage space.  

It is insane how different this house looks at the end of this makeover!
