One of the first things I think about when decorating for Chrismtas is a Christmas tree. I’m curious…do you prefer real or artifical trees? Or both? I love the smell and beauty of a real Christmas tree, but I don’t like the mess. haha! For a few years before we moved to Still Waters, we had a faux flocked tree in our Tennessee home, but we would put a real tree in our Wilmore House (Kentucky,) since that is where we actually spent Christmas eve and Christmas Day.

Wow!!!!! Those are some beautiful trees. I’ve always had real until just the last two years I’ve had artificial. It was sooooo hard to switch over but now that I have it’s been so nice to be able to put it up early and no mess. I won’t go back. The months are going too fast. I wish it would slow down. I’m not ready for Christmas.
All my life growing up we always had a Real Tree…..and when the girls were young we had a Real Tree……but now that they have been gone from the house (over 20 years now) we have had a Faux Tree. I do miss the smell of that pine but now do “plug ins” and it smells good!🎄
I’ve never had a real tree! My brother was allergic. I thought when I married I’d get my chance. But alas, no. His family home burned down because of the Christmas tree when he was little…so no real tree for us. Now that we are older with no littles around, we have a 4’ table top tree. It’s perfect for us. Pre-lit, and no mess. We decorate with ornaments that we have collected and received over our 43 years together.
