Painted Leather Office Chair {Radiant Orchid}

Hello, friends!

I just wanted to pop in and show you my new, painted leather, office chair!

Eli said it looks like a pink race car! Smile

I’ll take that!

This little chair has been transformed more than once.

I got it several years ago at Goodwill for $12.50.

It was the style of chair I had been looking for, but not the color, so I made slipcover for it.

You can read about how I did that, HERE.

Well, the slipcover had worn out {thanks to my boys}, and I needed to do something different.

As a Lowe’s Creative Idea Blogger, I was given the challenge of using Pantone’s Radiant Orchid paint by Valspar in a DIY home project.  I knew that I wanted to use it on my office chair.

Wisteria Catalog Inspired Chalkboard Placecards

I am so excited to have Tricia from Simplicity in the South guest posting on my blog today!

I found Tricia’s blog when she linked up her project to my monthly linky party!  I fell in love with all of her amazing DIY projects on her blog, especially in her boys’ rooms.

She’s the adorable mom of three boys.  Yay for moms of all boys! :)

So I asked Tricia to guest post for me, and she said, “yes!”  Yeah!

She is sharing with you a great, easy project that I think you will love.  Thank you, Tricia, for being here today!

Show her some sweet Beneath My Heart love today, mkay?  And when you are finished reading this post, be sure to hop on over to her blog, but be warned, you might be stuck there awhile. :)  It is so full of inspiration!

Chalkboard Calendar Inspiration

I’m going to be flat out honest.  I am a disorganized mess right now!

source

Seriously…do not EVER let me fool you into thinking that I have my life together!

Daily, I forget something I was supposed to do or somewhere I was supposed to go, etc.

Cy has mentioned to me several times, “Traci, we need a big calendar that we can put everything on so everyone can see it.”

I agreed.  I just didn’t know where or how I wanted to do it.

But yesterday, out of sheer desperation to organize my life, I started making a chalkboard calendar for my kitchen.  It’s the spot we all come in and out of everyday, and I am hoping that if I have all of our activities written in one place, MAYBE it will  help.

Wish me luck.

So I was browsing online yesterday looking for inspiration for Chalkboard Calendars, and I wanted to share them with you.

Dresser turned Vanity Makeover

I am soooo very excited to show you this project!

How to turn a dresser into a vanity.

I gave you a sneak peek of something I was painting last week.

It was our bathroom vanity!  You know…the one that we just re-did?

Yep!  We re-did it again!

(I just started singing Brittany Spears’ “Oops, I did it again” in my head.)  Smile

The second makeover turned out WAY better than the first.

Let’s take a look back shall we?
