hmmmm at first I thought it was glass doors on the cabinets, but then the last picture didn’t have glass. My next guess would be crown molding at the top?
EEeeeeee! It’s the ceilings! I’m so excited! I LOVE these wood ceilings, they are sooo beautiful! My neighbor has one in his bathroom & I adore it. It’s going to look so wonderful!

Well, now I have to wipe the drool off my computer. Thanks. Those kitchens are all gorgeous! I’m going to have to go with planked ceiling too. At first I was thinking maybe glass doors, but the last one didn’t have them so I had to go back and look again. I can’t wait to see what you do!

your putting a dog bed in the kitchen for Champ? That’s awesome! congrats!. Where you getting it? They have some nice ones at Tractor Supply, camoflauge would go great, you wouldn’t even notice it.

It’s the fancy new ceiling. I cannot WAIT to see how it turned out. I am secretly liking the look of all those kitchens, but we’re in a bungalow and that style doesn’t mesh well.
But, I’ll admire your fabulous kitchen from afar ( I already know it’s gonna be great!)

So you’re going with a boarded ceiling, are you? Will you do beadboard or planks? I’m guessing you’ll go with a painted wood ceiling, but the natural finish is pretty, too.
By the way, I love your new pantry! That Cy–he’s one amazing guy, isn’t he? I’m so glad y’all have sons–just think how there will be four very blessed women who will have incredible husbands some day, all of whom are like their dad! What a legacy!!

Well…everyone else seems to think you’re doing the ceiling next and I guess technically that would have to come before replacing the light fixture…but that was going to be my guess….new light fixtures.

These pics make me want to cry. The kitchen in my last house was enormous and beautiful and had so much potential.

Beyond the plank ceilings (which I love), almost all of these have glass door cabinets.

My first guess was painting the cabinets white/cream bit then I noticed the ceilings in all the pics! Maybe both??!!
Ya see? What did I tell you about that ceiling!!! It is gonna be “da bomb.” Those wooden countertops are gorgeous too. I’ve seen them done with Ikea countertops and stained dark. I hear it is quite inexpensive. On another note, I got my Primitive Pumpkin yesterday from your church friend and IT IS GORGEOUS. EVERYONE, GO AND GET ONE, YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY. I know they sound a little pricey and the shipping is high, but the quality is there and you will have that dang pumpkin forever! It is huge! It is heavy as you know, but for everyone out there, the gift shops would be charging double for this thing and I know since I frequent them so often!!!! Thanks for the heads up, Traci. BTW, the next quiz has to be a “little” harder. lol

I have to tell you, I have been drooling over the kitchen from fortheloveofahouse for about a month and a half…I am soooo tempted to paint my beautiful red cupboards white, to put wood on the ceiling, and build in some cupboards beside my fireplace! We have a very close layout to that kitchen….while it would KILL me to paint over that red, OH am I ever tempted?!?!?! :)
