Three DIY Projects in our Den

When I was in Salt Lake City last week, I got a time-sensitive email requesting an interview for my home being featured in Vintage Style magazine.  I was like, “wha?!”

I had no idea my home was going to be featured, and I didn’t know what pictures of my home they were using.  Come to find out, they are using pictures of my home from a photo shoot from 3 years ago for a different magazine that never got published (the magazine was bought out.)

So in my hotel room last Friday morning, I had a sweet, hour-long interview with a lady named Barbara about the pictures that were taken of my home.  She sent me the photo layout of the magazine so I could see which spaces would be featured.  It was funny to me how much my home has changed since those pictures were taken.  (I’ll share more about that when the article comes out.)

During the interview, she would ask me where pieces of furniture or art came from in each room, and it was fun reminiscing about all of the projects we have completed over the years in our home and on my blog.  So many projects that I had actually forgotten about, honestly.

So every Thursday during the summer, I am going to be doing some “throwback” posts to some of my favorite projects over the years.  The magazine article starts with pictures of my den, and here are a couple of older projects from that space.  You can read about them by clicking on the titles of the projects.

Coffee Table Makeover

Goodwill Chairs Makeover

Y’all, this project was one of the first ones I did on my blog in 2009!  Jonathan was only 9 years old and helped me on this project…

My pictures are so small in this post and for some reason I like putting a black frame on all of my pictures when I first started blogging.  haha!

But it is still one of my favorite projects!  Check it out HERE.

Well, that was fun!  I will be back next Thursday for some more “throwback” projects!  See you then!  xoxo
