Love the Home You Have Challenge!
I am so excited to have been invited to complete a simple
Love Your Home Challenge inspired by the new book
Love The Home You Have written by my blogging friend
Melissa @ The Inspired Room.
I met Melissa over five years ago at Blissdom, and she has been a dear blogging friend ever since. :) Her blog was just voted as Best Decorating Blog by #BHGbloggersawards.
Melissa’s beautiful blog is ever-inspiring, and so is her new book!
Her book will inspire you to love the home you have. Some of the topics covered in the book that I know you will enjoy are: taking care of your home, finding beauty in simple things, incorporating daily routines, using what you have to decorate, decluttering, and simple ways to find contentment where you are!
Who doesn’t need to read that, right?!!
One of my favorite parts of the book are the challenges that Melissa offers to her readers at the end. She has a 31 days of practical ways to love the home you have.
One of my favorite challenges was…
Day 11 {Fresh Flowers}
Every room will feel so much better with a touch of life–plants or flowers or other organic elements, such as fruits, vegetables, or branches. What organic elements do you have in your home? You can cut branches from your yard, try growing plants (such as succulents or herbs) in your window, or treat yourself to an inexpensive weekly bouquet from the market?
How do you want to bring the beauty of nature in your home?
Well, my kitchen table is my favorite place to add fresh flowers or natural elements. It is the first area you see when you walk in our home, so adding fresh flowers to the kitchen table makes me smile each time I walk in my home!
Hydrangeas happen to be my favorite. I am trying to grow some hydrangea bushes in my yard so I can enjoy them every year.
And adding some fresh red apples adds another punch of color. :) I LOVE decorating with natural items, don’t you?
Melissa asked many more of my favorite blog friends to join in the fun and do their own Home Love Challenge!
