I hope you have had a great week! I did some some painting in the bathroom that we are doing the Lowe’s makeover on, and we hung some lights. It is looking so pretty!

I LOVE these modern farmhouse looks but I feel so “stuck” in my house. We live in a 7 year old home that I would say is pretty traditional: Wood floors, brushed nickel fixtures, lots of neutrals and I have traditional cherry wood furniture in the majority of my living areas. A few months ago I picked a paint color called Perfect Beige off of Pinterest (https://goo.gl/images/gAVzJ5) and painted the majority of my downstairs. I love the color but it’s definitely not light and white like modern farmhouse looks. I need to lighten the room but with cherry wood furniture and kitchen cabinets I’ve got some work to do. I’m thinking about doing a white slip cover couch (which is why I asked where you got yours a few weeks back. Love Ballard, thanks for sharing). Do you have any suggestions of where I should start? Can a farmhouse look be done with darker walls? We are definitely not a fixer upper family so we won’t be tearing down any walls but I would love to do a few things to move from traditional to modern farmhouse.
