Fall Decor Ideas
It’s September, and even though it is just the first weekend of the month, to me means it is OFFICIALLY FALL, y’all!
Fall is my favorite season, so I am ready for cozy blankets, s’mores, sweaters, football games, apple cider, hayrides, pumpkin spice lattes, and more! Now if I could just convince our Kentucky weather to cooperate! We have temperates in the 80’s this whole coming week, but I’m still going to celebrate Fall anyway. Today, I am going to make a big pot of Mom’s vegetable soup just for spite. haha!
On Instagram Friday, some of my long time blog friends and I got together to share some of our favorite fall decor and projects.
I said them in my highlights buttons on Instagram under the “FALL” category, if you ever need to reference them over there. You can follow me on Instagram HERE.
I’m going to start by showing you this DIY Autumn Crate that I made several years ago when we first moved into this house. (Before we painted the brick white and added a new front porch!)

When we finally built a new front porch on our home a few years ago, I was so excited to decorate it for all the seasons! I had fun painting some pumpkins blue and adding lettering for a fall front porch collaboration I did with Wayfair.

Our Fall Farmhouse Front Porch
Last year, I added some new wreaths and lots of colorful mums for a festive fall porch. I loved layering the my wreath on top of a magnolia wreath for extra depth and color.

One of my favorite parts of Fall is enjoying campfires and s’mores on cool, crisp evenings. I had fun setting up an area in our backyard for just that! With hot chocolate in a wheel barrow and a basket full of blankets and pillows for extra snuggles! You can check out all the details by clicking the link below.
Firepit Outdoor Entertaining
I also had fun setting up an outdoor dining area right outside our back door. I think it is so much fun to take the “indoors out” to create a unique experience. You can see my tablescape idea below…

We have a small “barn” in our back yard that was built by a previous home owner the we use as a tool shed. We added new doors and window coverings, and I love decorating it during the fall season. Click below to see the before and after…

Thank you so much!
Just curious – what do you do with the mums In the winter?
Mine usually don’t live past the fall. :(. I’ve tried planting them, but they never make it.
