Home for the Holidays with Drees Homes

*This fun Holiday post is sponsored by Drees Homes.  They provided the beautiful home, and I provided the holiday decorating ideas!

A few weeks ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to style a beautiful model home, The Everly, from Drees Homes for Christmas. After living in a renovation for the past five months, getting to decorate a completely finished model home was quite a treat!

Drees Homes has been a family owned and operated business for 90 years.  There are Drees builds in 10 major metros across the country, including Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Nashville, Raleigh, Washington D.C., Austin, Houston and Dallas.

The model home that I got to decorate for Christmas is right outside of Nashville in the Baird Farms community.

There are so many beautiful features in this home, and one of my favorite is this stone fireplace.

Nothing says “home” like a fireplace, right?  I added a little bit of greenery and lights to the mantel, and then hung some neutral stockings for Santa to fill.

To cozy up the fireplace even more, I added a basket with an extra pillow and blanket for those cooler evenings.

I love to sit around the fire and drink hot chocolate during the holidays.  What is your favorite thing to do around the fireplace?

This home boasts of a bright and airy open-concept design that flows freely into other gathering spaces, which makes it perfect for holiday entertaining.

There is plenty of room for a large dining table to accommodate many friends and family members.  And since the table is located right between the kitchen and den, no one feels excluded from the party.  It makes for great flow and conversations.

I particularly fell in love with the large island in the kitchen!  It’s a great place to provide extra seating, serve food for meals, or even decorate some Christmas cookies with friends and family.

I had fun hanging out with my new friends from Drees for our photo shoot.  We may or may not have eaten a few too many sugar cookies while taking photos.  haha!

This kitchen has absolutely everything you could need to make entertaining a breeze this holiday season.  Besides a beautiful and functional stove top, there is a double oven to ensure on-time meal readiness and allows for baking in bulk.

The glass cabinets made it fun to display my holiday dishes which added some color to the space.  I love seeing what is inside my cabinets for easy reach.

I wish I could share more pictures of this home in this post with you, but there would be too many.  You can check out the entire Everly model by clicking HERE.   The master bedroom and bath are to die for.  The upstairs bedrooms are spacious and perfect for any size family.  But one of my favorite rooms was the upstairs “media room.”

It is the perfect place for some extra cozy family time!  Our family would be eating lots of popcorn and watching our favorite holiday movies in this space, for sure!   It would also provide extra gathering space when entertaining a large number of guests.

Let the countdown to Christmas begin!

Well, I hope you enjoyed being “Home for the Holidays” with me in this beautiful Drees home!

Drees is currently running their Holiday Home Sale, on homes ready now, so you can enjoy your own dream home for the holidays!”

  1. [[You did a great job…Family Style..]]. I like the open kitchen and all that you were able to show. The joy of entertaining and being a guest is the togetherness for the occasion.

  2. The house is lovely with your magic touch, as usual!
But can I ask where you got that shirt? It looks stunning on you!

  3. I love how you decorated and described this beautiful home! You would be an amazing online interior design consultant!!

    1. I agree, Pam. But since this decor was put up and taken down in two days, the sweet folks at Drees didn’t want to ask me to put up a tree as well. Too much work for such a short amount of time. :(. I was very thankful! haha!

  4. May I ask where you purchased the Advent calendar, I absolutely love it! Great job on the decor. I’m ready to move in!

  5. Traci, You did a wonderful job decorating this house for Christmas. I do not see how you found any of your Christmas decorations while living under construction. My family and I moved, halfway across the country, the same week y’all moved and are still living out of boxes while doing some updating to our house. It has been nice seeing we are not the only family going through the ups and downs of a move. With that being said, do you know what brand the range hood is in the kitchen? I do not like big, bulky, ugly hoods and this one is calling my name!! Thank you and keep up the great work!!

  6. Traci, I love the mantel decor. Did you purchase this recently or was it something that you already had? I would love to replicate that on my mantel.
