Four Gables Kitchen Inspiration
I can’t believe we have finally made it to the part of our home build that I am actually designing my kitchen at Four Gables! 👏🏻 It has been so fun the past few months to be gathering inspiration on Pinterest for the type of kitchen style I want.
Our home’s exterior is a farmhouse style, and of course, that is my favorite. It always will be whether it’s popular or not. When deciding on our home plan, I wanted it to feel like going to my favorite place on earth… my grandmother, Nannie Allen’s home. ❤️ There is nothing more cozy than a farmhouse.
For the inside, I want it to have a farmhouse feel, but I also love the English Country Cottage feel. I feel like it’s a wee-bit fancier. 😉

In the past, I have always had white cabinets in my kitchen. Sometimes I would add a few black cabinets too. But for this kitchen, I want my cabinets to be more warm and creamy, so I want to use an off white color, and I love the look of adding warm wood cabinets as well! The kitchen below is so dreamy….

I love all the warm colors in the kitchen below too!…

Now, let’s take a look at the layout of my kitchen. You can see in the photo below the corner of my L-shaped kitchen…

The three windows in the middle is where my apron sink will go, and it overlooks my garden outside. 🌿🌺

I VERY roughly copy & pasted some cabinets in the space to send to the cabinet company we are working with (more on that at the bottom of the post.). I knew I wanted a stacked wood cabinet on the right side of the kitchen by the larger window. I thought I might want sconces on the sides of my windows, but I have since changed my mind. 😂 I know the right side of the photo looks “heavy” and off balance, but it won’t once it’s balanced out with the range hood on the other wall.

The other side of the kitchen is where the range will go, and there is a doorway that will lead to our butler’s pantry. I’ll share more about that in a future post! :)

I hope to get a 48″ range for that wall, although it may not be black. I haven’t decided if I want the hood stained or painted. But I will eventulaly find a pretty antique hutch for the other side of the butler’s pantry doorway.

I like the hood below and the sconces on the sides. I am also loving the idea of having the countertop contine up as the backsplash with a ledge. I would just use a lighter color countertop.

There are so many other ideas that I am brainstorming, so if you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments! Also, I have saved more inspiration photos for our home on my Four GablesPinterest board, you can follow me HERE.
I am going to share more in a future post about the cabinet company I am working with. After a lot of looking around online, I found an afforable place to purchase inset cabinetry, and I am SO EXCITED! I was also excited to find out they are having a huge fall sale until November 30th, 2025. I reached out to the owner about giving my followers an extra discount, and if you use the code “Heart35”, you can get 35% off any of their cabinetry between now and November 30th! 🤯. Just click the link below to check out their website, and let me know if you have any questions!❤️
Things are moving fast around here, and I can’t wait to share it all with you! More posts coming soon!
Have a blessed day, friends!
xoxo, Traci
