Guest House Bathroom Makeover
I haven’t shared a Makeover Monday post in a while, but I wanted to share this beautiful bathroom makeover that Cy did for Hutcherson Home Remodel recently. It was for one of his favorite repeat client’s, Kelly.
You may remember the laundry room makeover that Cy did for her last year…

I absolutely LOVED that remodel, and you can read all about it HERE.
In a few weeks, he will be back at her house to remodel the kitchen and several bathrooms. We are excited because she is so wonderful to work with!
Today, I am going to share the bathroom makeover Cy did in Kelly’s guest house a few months ago. I will share more parts of this guest house makeover in a future post.
Here are a few bathroom “before” pictures that Eli took for me before they started demo.

This bathroom had a standard tub/shower combo that Kelly wanted to remove completely. She also wanted Cy to enlarge the shower by pushing back the wall on the right. On the other side of that wall was a large bedroom closet that he could take a couple feet from. Cy would then create a beautiful, large walk-in shower for this bathroom.

The toilet would stay where it was, but the walls would all get a fresh coat of paint. The linoleum would be replaced with LVP flooring that was also installed throughout the rest of the guest house.

The old vanity, mirror, and lights would all be replaced as well.
This project took Cy about 3-4 weeks, and I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out!
Here are some after photos…

So pretty!!! The flooring in the bathroom is 9″ Alpine White Oak Rigid Core Vinyl from Hardwood Bargains here locally. I have it linked HERE. For the shower faucet, Kelly chose Lowe’s Allen + Roth Harlow Brushed Gold.

My favorite feature in the bathroom is the green tile that Cy installed in a crosshatch pattern on the back shower wall. It is a gorgeous tile from Lowe’s, and I linked it HERE. The tiles on the side walls are the same brand in white and stacked vertically. You can find them HERE. The shower floor and niche honeycomb tile can be found HERE.

The adorable refillable shampoo/conditioner bottles are from Amazon. You can find them HERE. And the golden shower squeegee is also from Amazon HERE.

I fell in love with the vanity Kelly chose for this bathroom makeover. It’s from Lowe’s, and it is so beautiful in person! It also has lots of great storage.

The 48″ version of this vanity is currently out of stock, but you can get notified when it comes back in stock. It also comes in a smaller and larger version, you can find it HERE.
The Allen + Roth Harlow Gold Faucet is the perfect size for this vanity. You can find it HERE. The stylish KCO Mid-Century Modern Wall Mounted Sconces are from Amazon. Linked HERE.

Kelly LOVES how the bathroom turned out, and I know her guests will too! I made an Instagram reel of some videos of this makeover for you to see…

Beautiful!!
THank you!
I Love this remodel and would love to do the same thing to one of my bathrooms using the same tiles! I love the three different tiles that he used. You both are so talented!
Traci, I have to tell you that I purchased those sandals that you love and I love them equally! I hardly ever wear anything else. I don’t even put my slippers on anymore! Thanks for that!
Hi Terri! I am so glad you love the sandals! I love them too!
Cy does beautiful work! So thankful that the Lord is blessing his business, and I know you are too!
